Capital A Investment Bank Appoints Mr. Linus Muthari Kang’ara as New Chief Executive Officer.

Capital A Investment Bank has appointed Mr. Linus Muthari Kang’ara as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 1st November 2025, following the exit of Mr. Tom Kimaru in October 2025.

Mr. Kanga’ra joins the firm from KCB Investment Bank, where he served as the Executive Head, Investment Banking. With a career spanning over 15 years in the financial markets, Mr. Kangára brings onboard a wealth of experience having previously worked at various firms within the capital markets including Old Mutual Securities and Faida Investment Bank.

Mr. Kangára joins at a period which has seen the Investment Bank experience expansion of its revenues owing to its position as the leader in Fixed Income Securities Trading commanding a market share of 18.06%. He joins at a time when the firm is earnestly pursuing product diversification and is expected to guide the firm in its entry into Fund management as well as oversee the investment bank’s entry into the corporate finance and advisory space.

While welcoming Mr. Kanga’ra, the Chairman of Capital A Investment Bank, Dr. Norris Kibe thanked the outgoing C.E.O for guiding the firm through its early years and remarked that he is confident that the Investment Bank, through the leadership of the incoming C.E.O, shall roll out new products that speak to the investment needs of the public.

“My focus will be to harness the talent and capacities of the incredible team to build new partnerships that will place the firm at the centre of broadening economic development, savings mobilisation, and cultivating a culture of trust, transparency, and performance to deliver investment solutions that satisfy the ever-growing demand from the public,” Mr Kang’ara said.

Mr. Linus holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Nairobi, a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Sciences from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. He is also a Certified Accountant and a member of ICPAK.

He is currently pursuing his Doctoral Studies in Leadership at The United States International University, Nairobi.
